Xenophobia (n) - fear or hatred toward foreigners, foreign countries, or anything else foreign

and what I no longer am,
just hands clasping
at air
and soft skin
airbrushed by aching fingers,
bloodied almost to purple,
a tinge of purpose,
whether or not we know it.
