Cynicism

 
How true it has become.
Like wires crossing in the night,
what's hard has become easy
and vice versa.
Business as usual

for the few of us left
who think we understand,
and just a small distraction
for the fearful, tired remainder.
Why bother learning

when we can argue just as well
as we can breathe.
It doesn't mean we're correct,
but we're always right.
No doubt about it.
